The war against Boko Haram is largely won, Lai Mohammed - The Biggest Lie on Earth

I stumbled on this news item on Linda Ikeji's Blog:
"Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed said that the Nigerian military had met the December deadline to defeat the Boko Haram terrorists. The minister said this on Wednesday, December 23, during his maiden meeting with editorial heads of media houses in Lagos.

"Today, I can report that the war against Boko Haram is largely won. I can confidently say this because just recently, I led a group of 33 journalists from both the local and international media to the hot bed of the insurgency, that is, Maiduguri, Kondugua, Kaoure and Bama,"
"Today, I can report to you that the entire 70 plus kilometres stretch from Maiduguri to Bama and all the way to Banki which leads to Cameroun and the Central African Republic are in the hands of our gallant troops."
Mohammed said the military presence could be felt "every few metres along the road; at a point along that road we were just a kilometre to Sambisa forest.
"They have so degraded the capacity of Boko Haram that the terrorists can no longer hold on to any territory just as they can no longer carry out any spectacular attack."
He, however, said that though there were still cases of suicide bombings, it was pertinent to note that such was the nature if insurgency globally.
"Unlike a war between two armies, an insurgency never ends with arms victory. Even in countries like Colombia where insurgency was supposed to have ended decades ago, attacks like this still happen."
He said that the insurgents had adopted a new style of attacking soft targets like motor parks, schools, entertainment centres, religious centres, killing innocent people mostly women and children.
Mohammed, therefore, urged Nigerians to support the military in the fight against terrorism in the country, saying that the military had availed itself creditably.
"It is our turn as civilians to give them our support; to realise that the war they are fighting is not their war alone, but our war, hence we must own the war."
Mohammed disclosed that a national security campaign had commenced to raise awareness among Nigerians about the war, the sacrifices of our troops, and how to stamp out the remnant of the war.
"Jingles are being played on national radio and television as part of the campaign in order to keep the media better informed about the war, so that they can also better inform Nigerians,"
The minister also said that an ad-hoc committee, comprising media representatives as well as intelligence agencies, would be inaugurated to regularly be updated about the war in order to better inform the public."
I wonder why these men love telling lies, how much longer do they intend to deceive us? These men are evil, these men who are already close to their death thinks we all are stupid. Nigeria is indeed a zoo.

Salt and You

Matt 5:13 "You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot."

The bible passage above reminds me of a story of a young man who went to the market to buy food stuff, he bought plenty of meat, stock fish,  ice fish, crayfish, Maggi cube, etc. He spent a lot of money to make a pot of soup but he did not add salt to the soup and lo and behold the soup was tasteless at the end of the day not minding all the ingredients he used to cook the soup. This simply means that the other ingredients lost all their values because there was no salt in the soup, and the whole soup became tasteless.

Salt is a flavour enhancer, meaning without salt the flavour of onion, tomatoes, fish, meat, etc. will be lost and they become tasteless. The bible passage above teaches that children of God are to earth as important as the salt is to the soup. Without children of God the earth looses its purpose, and becomes useless.

Imagine a situation were salt is overused in a food, the whole food becomes total useless and no one can be able to eat the food because the salt has lost its purpose....instead of enhancing the flavour of the ingredients used in cooking, it destroys the flavour. Same thing happens when children of God looses their purpose, instead of attracting souls to God, the repel souls away from God.

Today, the church is loosing it saltiness, instead of propagating the gospel of salvation, men of God are embanking on personal enrichment, extorting the poor masses instead and giving them false hope of material gain in God instead of heavenly gain.

The big question here is 'are you a salt to the earth or have you lost your taste'?

"But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot." be wise.

Using Images In The Church

How come Catholics still make use of images in their church, while the bible clearly warns us against the use of image? "You shall not make for yourself a graven image or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath,  under the earth: you shall not bow down to them or serve them" (Ex. 20:4–5). Also God frowned at the people of Israel when the made a golden image at the wilderness…"Alas, this people have sinned a great sin; they have made for themselves gods of gold" (Ex. 32:31). Truly our catholic brethren are perishing for lack of knowledge and their inheritance is hell fire!

Hahahahahaha…… funny…the paragraph above is always the point of argument between the Catholics and non-Catholics.  The truth is that both Catholics and non-Catholics have come short of the bible passage above. An image is a pictorial representation of a person, object or thing. Pictures, drawings, sculpture, videos etc. are all examples of images. The scripture in above paragraph said you should not make an image of anything in heaven, on earth and under the earth. We are all comfortable to snap pictures of ourselves, our family members, our friends and relations, even that of our pastors. We post them in our Facebook pages, tweeter handles, and other social media, some of us criticizing Catholics even have our pastors pictures as our profile picture. The irony is that some of the people accusing Catholics are into drawings and paintings... This is hypocrisy in the highest level.

God I know can never contradict Himself because He is God….His word is life and it is true at all times. If He was against the use of image in religious worship why then did he encourage the people to make the image of two winged creature (cherubim) in Ex. 25:18–20 “you shall make two cherubim of gold, make them of hammered work at the two ends of the mercy seat. Make one cherub at one end and one cherub at the other end; you shall make the cherubim of one piece with the mercy seat at its two ends. The cherubim shall have their wings spread upward, covering the mercy seat with their wings and facing one another; the faces of the cherubim are to be turned toward the mercy seat.” In 1 Chr. 28:18–19 “and the weight of the refined gold for the altar of incense. He also gave him the plan for the chariot, that is, the cherubim of gold that spread their wings and overshadow the ark of the covenant of the Lord.  “All this,” David said, “I have in writing as a result of the Lord’s hand on me, and he enabled me to understand all the details of the plan.”

During the Exodus, the Israelite sinned against God and He punished them with serpent, Moses cried unto God for mercy…God told Moses to "make [a statue of] a fiery serpent, and set it on a pole; and everyone who is bitten, when he sees it shall live. So Moses made a bronze serpent, and set it on a pole; and if a serpent bit any man, he would look at the bronze serpent and live" (Num. 21:8–9).

The question now should be why then did God said we should not make an image of anything in heaven, earth or under the earth?

The answer is simple…the Egyptians of the old are known for ‘Art’, they makes images a lot and they worships the images they make as god. They believe in the god they see, Israelite that left Egypt for the promise land were all born and brought up in Egypt, so the tendency of making images and worshiping them are still there because that is the culture they know. That explains why, when Moses went to bring the Lord’s commandment, he only spent 40 days and night in the mountain of the lord but before he could come back the people have made for themselves an image of a calf and worshiped it saying it was the God that brought them out of Egypt (Ex. 32:1-8). The bronze image made by Moses in Numbers 21: 8-9, was placed in the temple for a long time and God was not angry with the people but  when people did start to worship the bronze serpent as a snake-god (whom they named "Nehushtan"),God became angry with people and the righteous king Hezekiah had it destroyed (2 Kgs. 18:4).

Someone may also argue that what the scripture said is 'graven image' (carved, engraved image)...wow sound argument, but was their anything like camera as at the time the commandment was given? The only form of imaging then was graven.

In summary, if you still watch religious videos, and your church still makes fliers, banners, or you have your pictures or that of your loved ones, and you are worried about Catholics going to hell fire because to you they worship idols by having religious images (sacramental) in their homes and churches, you have already condemned yourself to judgement.

A cry For Nigeria....Part One

Thoughts in my Heart

Now when all were at sleep, i woke up in the middle of the night, thinking of what went wrong, why the sudden madness, how could everything go wrong at a spot, just like a flash, life has become unbearable for most of her citizens. Many like myself could not understand the sudden thirst for blood, human life means nothing to the people again. One can simply summarize the place as a 'war zone'.

No more peace in the land....were do i start to recount? The floating dozens of dead bodies of men killed in cold blood found in one of the rivers located somewhere in the eastern part of the country? The brutal killings of innocent citizens all over the northern part of the country? The political tuzzles somewhere in the River line area...? Kidnapping saga everywhere in the east and the southern part of the country?

When I thought about it...I cried....I cried.....I cried so loud and uncontrollably, all i could say was 'was this what the founding fathers fought for?'

Hmmmmmm.... may be all these could be happening because of the the leaders of the people have become so insensitive and selfish, they have converted our nation to their personal republic. The politicians who are less than ten percent (10%) of the total population are taking the whole country for a ride.... Can you imagine these?:

  • A ship disappeared for the country and at the end a committee was constituted to investigate what happened to the ship and up till date no one can account for the ship and no one is held accountable.
  • Hundreds of millions of naira disappeared from the nations cabal and till date it remains unaccounted for and no one is bearing the consequence. The central bank said is from the minting house and  the minting house accused central bank in returns....and that settles it.
  • Pensioners money, about 35 billion naira stolen by one man, he was tried and found guilty and was asked to pay only 250 thousand naira and walk free as if nothing happened....Thank God Nigerians cried out.
  • Nigeria in few years has lost hundreds of her citizens because her aviation industry have failed in its task of maintaining air safety operations. yet our aviation minister is cursing two official cars worth of 225 million naria bought with our task payers money.
  • Our brothers and sisters has been out of school since four months now and nothing is done to address their plight just because ASUU and federal government are holding the nation at ransom
When i thought about all these i cannot but cry for my nation...i cry for my country....may God help us.

Eight Days To End Time

Honestly I don’t believe in the dooms day (21st Dec. 2012) based on the account of Mattew 24: 36 " But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only”

But the truth is that the signs of end time are here. Come to think of it, if Mayan apocalypse is true, how many people are ready for it? Who and who will be saved? It is just 8 days away from now.

The river valley crosses Titan's North Polar Region and runs north into Ligeia Mare, one of the three great seas in the moon's high northern latitudes.

Bishop Oyedepo asked to pay N2 billion over kindergarten’s death

The General Overseer of Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo has been asked to pay N2 billion within 14 days as general damages or face legal action, for the death of three-year-old Imienfan Omokaro who got drowned at Kingdom Heritage Model School operated by Winners Chapel in Benin.

A letter written by Omokaro’s Counsel, Prince Peter E. Uwadiae-Igbinigie and, dated November 28, 2012 and made available to journalists in Benin, explained that the amount was “for the callous and senseless killing of our client’s daughter, Miss Imienfan Omokaro.”

Besides, Mr. Omokaro’s lawyers want Kingdom Heritage Model School to tender unreserved apology in three national newspapers, warning that if the demands were not met within 14 days, “we have the irrevocable instructions of our client to commence legal action against the school (Kingdom Heritage Model School) and Church (Winners Chapel) without any further correspondence from this Chambers.”

Imienfan Omokaro, a KG I pupil of Kingdom Heritage Model School, was said to have drowned in a drum of water in a toilet in the school on November 1, 2012.

Also, teachers of the school allegedly did not inform her mother when she came to pick her from school on that fateful day until late in the evening.

The school authorities and Winners Chapel had reportedly kept the girl for more than an hour, praying for her before finally taking her to Irowa Hospital in Benin, where she was confirmed dead.
The girl had died before being brought to hospital, doctors said.
