Really I don’t feel proud blogging this, but it is high time we all fight against violation of human rights going on various parts of Nigeria. How can people derive joy in abusing others, this young Nigerian was humiliated, disgraced and abused just because of a mere accusation that she stole phone. This abuse is happening barely two weeks after 4 healthy young Nigerian students were murdered at Aluu community for nothing The question here is where we are going from here? Is this the kind of Nigeria our past heroes fought for?
Honestly
am not in support of stealing but this lady, who was accused of stealing a
phone, was shamefully assaulted in the video clip, which has gone viral on the
internet is somebody’s child, she is somebody’s sister for crying out loud.
The information I gathered said that the incident took place at an
upscale shopping mall in Lagos. The mob descended on the lady, stripped her
naked and beat her to a pulp. This happened amidst cheers and jeers from
onlookers who were busy videoing the detestable act.
I keep wondering why people would want to insert objects in her
private parts, at a point; a man successfully inserted torchlight into her
private part, while others held her legs apart to make the bestial act easy.
All efforts by the helpless lady, who was weeping profusely and
pleading, to cover her nakedness with both hands, failed, as the mob tugged at
various parts of her body.
This is so shameful, cry out, police should arrest all those
involved in this crime, we cannot continue to live this way, it is totally
unacceptable!
